Barktoberfest Recap: Halloween Fun for a Cause with E+S Group and I Am Dog Rescue
This Halloween season, Barktoberfest in North Texas brought spooky fun and heartwarming stories to the community! Sponsored by E+S Group, this lively Halloween-themed festival celebrated all things canine while raising awareness and support for I Am Dog Rescue (IADR). The event featured plenty of treats, adorable costumes, and a passionate turnout, as dogs and their families gathered for a day of celebration and community spirit.
With E+S Group as a key sponsor, the event was a joyful reminder of their shared commitment with IADR to finding homes for dogs in need. From ghoulish getups to cute costumes, dogs of all sizes showed up dressed to impress, with some dressed as superheroes, pumpkins, and even mini-ghosts, giving attendees smiles and laughs all day long.
Why Supporting Animal Rescue Aligns with E+S Group’s Values
E+S Group is no stranger to pairing families with the right homes, and this belief in finding the perfect match resonates with the work done by IADR. “Whether it’s achieving your real estate dreams or helping a dog in need, we believe anything is possible with the right resources and help,” shared Marielle ‘Elle’ Lugo, Realtor at The Agency Dallas. Both E+S Group and IADR strive to make every match meaningful, ensuring that each new partnership—be it home or pet—thrives.
Heartwarming Rescue Stories from E+S Group
At Barktoberfest, E+S Group team members Elle Lugo and Stephanie Dunbar shared their own personal adoption journeys with us. Elle spoke about her pitbull, Emma, whom she adopted when she was 8 weeks old to save her from euthanasia. Emma, with her heart of gold, knew exactly how to comfort Elle’s family in hard times, bringing peace and joy to their home until she passed in 2023. Emma’s gentle soul made her unforgettable to everyone who met her.
Stephanie adopted Summer, a tiny Chihuahua mix with a big heart, who once protected two other dogs at the shelter. After Summer’s passing, Stephanie and her family adopted Fendi and Jagger from IADR, two dogs who have since filled their home with love and happiness. Fendi and Jagger even joined in the fun at Barktoberfest, showing off their costumes and winning hearts as IADR alumni.
Memorable Moments and the Power of Rescue Work
E+S Group team members know firsthand the transformative power of adopting rescue dogs. “Watching a once-shy dog find its spirit again is a beautiful thing,” they shared. “Seeing the devotion of IADR’s volunteers for these dogs is beyond inspiring.” The costumes and Halloween spirit added to the joy, but for E+S Group, the day was truly about recognizing the commitment and love these volunteers give to each dog.
Barktoberfest Goals: Raising Support and Awareness
E+S Group’s primary goal in sponsoring Barktoberfest was to shine a light on IADR’s mission. The event succeeded in attracting more volunteers, raising funds for medical care, and spreading awareness, with social media buzzing and new faces eager to get involved. In bringing the community together in Halloween spirit, Barktoberfest helped locals learn more about the rescue and its life-changing work.
Community Initiatives and What’s Next for E+S Group
E+S Group is looking forward to supporting more causes close to home, including their upcoming sponsorship of the Miss Plano Pageant’s fitness scholarship on November 3. As a preliminary to Miss Texas, the pageant supports values of style, service, scholarship, and success, which align with E+S Group’s dedication to community growth and empowerment.
The Lasting Message of Barktoberfest
At the heart of Barktoberfest was a message that everyone could take home: adopting a dog can change lives—both for pets and their people. E+S Group hopes that attendees left inspired, knowing that they too could make a difference. This Halloween event was a beautiful showcase of local businesses and nonprofits working together, united in a mission that matters.
E+S Group extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined in celebrating Halloween at Barktoberfest. From the adorable costumed pups to the wonderful new volunteers, your support truly made a difference. We’re already looking forward to next year’s festivities and can’t wait to see you there!
